Genevieve de Bernis has studied at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris and has worked with many famous designers. She arrived in Singapore in 1984 and travelled extensively around Asia and later launched "Mata-Hari Antiques" in 1987.
For over 27 years now, Mata-Hari Antiques showcased her private collections as well as the pieces she had collected on her travels.
She also participated in numerous exhibitions such as "the 1990 International Antiques, Arts, Craft Exibitition", the 1991 "Batik Exibition" at the National Museum and the 1992 "Singapore Art Fair" at Raffles City Convention Center, just to name a few.
She has also provided most of the exhibits of the Regent Hotel Singapore, which spurred the creation of the book "Treasure of the Regent Singapore".
Over the years, Genevieve had many of her artifacts and pieces featured in Art Books. Major Private Collections and Museums in the United States of America, Japan, Korea, India, Spain and many more.
Fond of Ethnology, History and Arts, she passionately continues to travel.
